Embark on a unique experience: live the Camino de Santiago from the sea.
Travel the beautiful Ría de Muros-Noia, the last of the Rías Baixas, following the
historic route that the ancient maritime pilgrims crossed centuries ago to
reach Santiago de Compostela.
Enjoy an unforgettable journey with other travelers, sailing through spectacular landscapes
, charming fishing villages and places full of
history and Galician tradition.
This route, officially recognized by the Cabildo of Santiago, allows you to obtain
La Compostela by completing 100 nautical miles and walking the last 12 km
from Bertamiráns to the Cathedral of Santiago.
The Camino de Santiago by sail is a different and exciting way to do the Camino, combining the spirit of
pilgrim with the magic of the Atlantic.
This experience is one of the few that allows sailors to obtain the title of pilgrims, starting their journey from a Galician port.
To be considered a true nautical pilgrim, it is necessary to meet these four requirements:
- Sailing, following the ancient maritime pilgrimage routes.
- To make the tour following one of the historical itineraries recognized by the Church, such as the Camino de la Ría de Muros-Noia, which was made official on December 20, 2020.
- Cover a minimum of 90 nautical miles; our route exceeds 100 miles.
- To complete on foot the last kilometers to Santiago, suggesting to walk the last 12km of the Camino de la Ría de Muros-Noia, from Bertamiráns to Santiago.
