At Julio Verne Náutica, we offer all the practical training required for Spanish boating certifications, and we believe that hands-on training is the most important part of boating education. Our motto is “practice to enjoy.”
That’s why we conduct navigation training on our own certified vessels, which allows us to monitor the condition of our training boats and ensure the quality of the training on board.

All of our boats are certified. We have the best charter fleet in northwestern Spain, which we keep in impeccable condition.
OUR INSTRUCTORS
Our instructors are true sailing professionals who are passionate about their work , have experience with recreational boats, and are dedicated to teaching.
OUR LOCATION
Galicia is the best sailing area on the entire Iberian Peninsula, and at Julio Verne Náutica, we are fortunate to be located at the Monte Real Yacht Club in Baiona, in the Rías Baixas.
Catalogue of internships offered
Navigation Training (PNB)
The practical training for this certification must last at least 8 hours and may be completed in a single day.
Radio Operator Training (PNB)
4-hour practical training on an approved simulator. Required to obtain PNB, PY, and CY licenses.
Safety and Navigation Training (PER)
This training lasts 16 hours and is typically completed over 2 days.
Practical Training for Expansion of Authorizations (PER)
24-hour open-sea training exercises without calling at a port, to qualify to operate vessels up to 24 meters in length.
OPTIONAL
Navigation Training (PY)
Offshore sailing practice, lasting at least 48 hours without calling at a port.
Navigation Training (CY)
Offshore sailing practice, lasting at least 48 hours without calling at a port.
Short-Range Radio Operator Course
A course consisting of 4 hours of theoretical training and 8 hours of practical training on an approved simulator.
Sailing Certification Training
These training sessions last 16 hours and take place over 2 days. They are offered only once and are valid for the PNB, PER, PY, and CY certifications.
